Products
· Stylmark has considerable experience in providing LED lighting systems to our customers. LED lighting systems save considerable electrical energy during their lifespan when compared to traditional lighting sources. Importantly, they do not generate hazardous waste, specifically mercury, which is common to fluorescent lighting.
· Stylmark’s anodized aluminum material is fully recyclable by our customers without special pretreatment or chemical burn-off.
Recycling
· Stylmark has an active recycling program. All scrap metal from our manufacturing processes is recycled, as are spent lubricants, excess cardboard/office paper, and all fluorescent lights used in the facility.
· Stylmark reuses the cardboard packaging we receive with vendor shipments to help protect and package our outgoing product shipments.
Manufacturing Processes
· Stylmark has strong relationships with all regulatory agencies (city, county, state, and federal) and complies with all governmental requirements.
· Stylmark’s primary manufacturing activity, anodizing aluminum, is a proven environmentally-sound process. All chemicals in the process:
o are rendered pH neutral before they are disposed of, or
o are reclaimed and reused, or
o are reclaimed and made available as fertilizer for agriculture.
· Stylmark has partnered with MnTAP (Minnesota Technical Assistance Program), a public/private partnership whose sole purpose is to help eliminate process waste.
· Stylmark is a member of MnASF (Minnesota Association of Surface Finishers), an industry trade association that works with businesses to improve their environmental performance and to enhance relationships with governmental agencies.
· Stylmark has an active pollution prevention program and annually reports our progress on exceeding our goals to state authorities.
