Stylmark adds Two Account Managers to their Sales Team

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – December 3, 2019 – Stylmark, Inc., a leading retail fixture manufacturer, is pleased to announce Janelle McCreadie and Bethany Danielson have joined the company as our newest account managers. Janelle will be responsible for managing our key customer relationships throughout the Western United States. Bethany will be handling key accounts in the Midwest United States.
      
Janelle comes to Stylmark with over 20 years of retail planning and program management experience. Janelle began her career at Fred Meyer, a division of Kroger, in store operations where she gained firsthand knowledge of merchandising applications among a wide array of finished goods.  Janelle then ventured further into retail displays where she was responsible for sourcing, estimating and managing multidimensional programs while at Grand + Benedicts and Portland Store Fixtures. While at Hessenn, Janelle focused on client specific designs from initiation to production. Recently with Max Advantage Business Solutions she collaborated with clients to increase sales, reduce operating costs and enhance operations.

Bethany has over 15 years of program management and store fixture experience. While at Karl Dungs, Bethany provided customer support in all areas including technical and custom project requests.  In 2005 Bethany started her career with Stylmark in customer service and quickly moved into the estimating department where she was responsible for preparing estimates for standard and custom products. She was the key liaison between the engineering team and customers on customizing specific requirements to meet overall design needs. As a program manager with Stylmark and Acrylic Design, she led cross-functional teams, determined project scope, and oversaw multi-material project integrations within tight deadlines.

Stylmark Hires Chrissy Peloquin to Run Operations


MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – November 12, 2019 – Stylmark, Inc. recently announced Chrissy Peloquin as director of operations. Chrissy will oversee Stylmark’s manufacturing, production control, and purchasing groups.

Chrissy comes to Stylmark with over 15 years of strong operational experience. Chrissy began her career with Target as an executive team leader where she was responsible for managing store logistics, developing overall store staffing and operational strategies.  

In 2015, Chrissy joined Design Ready Controls where she led the logistics, quality, manufacturing, and inventory management planning for four national facilities. She was also responsible for creating a new capacity and headcount IT solution improving capacity planning and workflow standardization.

Most recently, she deployed multiple continuous improvement and quality programs, using automated solutions to streamline manufacturing. Chrissy also directed the overall company strategic vision as a member of the senior leadership team. A 2018 STEP Ahead Award Honoree, Chrissy recently completed her professional science master’s in engineering management through Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Stylmark Celebrates 65th Anniversary


MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – May 7, 2019 –
Stylmark, a leading designer and manufacturer of commercial and retail fixtures celebrates 65 years of enhancing the functionality and aesthetics of interiors for the world’s largest brands.  Still today, Stylmark provides solutions for interior environments ranging from aluminum fixtures, showcases, fitting rooms, LED light boxes, shelving, LED mirrors and custom solutions.

Stylmark’s founders Ray and Marge Brink started their garage-run business building a custom version of wheel-based rolling door medicine cabinets out of a variety of fabricated aluminum extrusions in 1954.  Sixty-five years later, Stylmark remains a leading designer and manufacturer of finished fixtures for retail, hospitality, and commercial environments. In 1983, Stylmark became an employee-owned company when David Brink and his partners sold shares to the ESOP program.

Stylmark Appoints Jim McCarthy as Chief Financial Officer

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – March 5, 2019 – Stylmark, Inc. recently announced the addition of Jim McCarthy to its leadership team. Jim will be responsible for leading Stylmark’s financial initiatives.

Jim has over 40 years of finance and operation experience and has has held executive positions for companies such as General Electric, Moore USA, Carlson Marketing Group and 2020 Brand Solutions. McCarthy received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bentley College and his MBA in finance from the University of Minnesota. 

Prior to joining Stylmark, Jim was the vice president of operations at RAZR Marketing where he was responsible for software development improvements and the introduction of new tools to enhance customer service responsiveness.

Stylmark Appoints Ilicia Manger as Senior Account Executive


MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – January 15, 2019–
Stylmark, Inc., a leading retail fixture manufacturer, is pleased to announce Ilicia Manger has joined the company as a senior account executive.  Ilicia will be responsible for managing some of our key customer relationships throughout the Southeast United States.           

Ilicia comes to Stylmark with over 20 years of store planning, project management and sales experience in the retail industry. Ilicia began her career as senior director of store planning for Tommy Hilfiger USA, where she managed the most significant and fastest fixture rollout in company history.  In 2005, she moved to Converse, where she was selected to be part of the team that launched the collaboration Converse by John Varvatos apparel collection.  

Ilicia joined Oved Apparel Group in 2007 as the director of retail marketing where she implemented multi-platform custom marketing solutions to build brand awareness at retail. Five years later, she became the director of new business at Sparks, where she developed branded environments around each client’s unique requirements.

In 2016, as the account director of strategic partnerships at The Carlson Group, Ilicia defined target accounts providing global retail solutions for brands for their shop in shop programs, outlets and brick-and-mortar locations.

Stensrud to Lead Stylmark's Business Development Initiatives

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – January 8, 2019 – Stylmark, Inc. a leading retail fixture manufacturer, recently announced today the promotion of Patti Stensrud to director of new business development. 

Patti started with Stylmark as the IT manager almost 25 years ago.  During her time as IT manager, there was a need to have a strong leader take charge of Stylmark’s Customer Service Department and Patti jumped at the opportunity.  In this role, Patti managed all customer service’s daily activities, constantly striving for the highest possible levels of customer satisfaction and employee engagement.

In 2012, Patti made the transition into sales where she supported Stylmark’s focus toward gaining specifications from retailers, designers and architects.  Patti has been very successful with securing specifications with some of today’s top retailers including Nordstrom, Starbucks and Macy’s.

In 2017, Patti was invited to be a member of the StorePoint Fashion Advisory Board.  “Patti is recognized by her peers and customers throughout the industry for infectious energy, product knowledge, market understanding, desire to deliver excellence and as a leader in her commitment to do business with passion. Patti is an ambassador for Connecting Point – she inspires and supports our business and events,” said Nancy Splaine, SVP/GM Connecting Point.

David Brink Inducted into the Shop! Hall of Fame

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – November 15, 2018– David Brink of Stylmark, Inc. was inducted into the Shop! Hall of Fame at their annual meeting held in New Orleans LA, November 12-14, 2018. 

Stylmark was established as Designware Industries in 1954, when founder Ray Brink began incorporating his custom version of wheel-based rolling door mechanisms into a variety of fabricated aluminum extrusions for mirrored medicine cabinets, eventually expanding the product line to include tub and shower enclosures, bathroom cabinets, and wardrobe doors. David started his career with Stylmark in 1965 as a regional sales manager and has been an integral part of Stylmark for over 50 years.

David led Stylmark through many changes and much success throughout his tenure. After five years as a regional sales manager, he became general manager and expanded the company’s focus from aluminum extrusions to a broader range of store fixture components. David became president in 1975 when he purchased the company from his father. 

Under David’s leadership, Stylmark’s manufacturing space more than tripled, its employee base grew from 45 to 150 employees, its product mix expanded, and new retail markets were entered. The most significant change under David’s leadership was the transfer of ownership of the company to its employees in 1983. 

Still today, David remains very hands-on with the day-to-day operations of Stylmark and his role as trustee of Stylmark’s Employee Stock Ownership Program and is a member of its board of directors. 

“I am honored that my peers and Shop! members have recognized my contributions to the industry that I grew up in, said Brink. It is an honor to be included in the outstanding class of 2018 and to be in the company of all past Shop! honorees.”

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – April 3, 2018 – Stylmark, Inc., a leading retail fixture manufacturer, is pleased to announce that they have been named a winner of this year’s GlobalShop Product Design Competition in the category of fixtures for their new Flexis™ DisplayMaker Wall Merchandising System.  This is an annual competition, sponsored by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), recognizes product design advancements in innovation, function, and aesthetics for the retail industry.           

Flexis is the new wall merchandising system that enables users the flexibly to create a variety of merchandising solutions. This can be achieved by adding Stylmark lit shelves, lit mirrors, light boxes, showcases, monitors, or just about anything requiring a 24volt input voltage. This system allows retailers the ability to re-set and re-merchandise the wall with ease and with no wires, a true plug-and-play solution.

Winners were chosen by a jury of design professionals. Products were judged for design, technical advancements/innovations, cost and value, environmental responsibility, aesthetics/comfort, safety, client/user benefits, need and usage for retail spaces.

Stylmark Appoints Abigail Craigen as West Coast Senior Account Executive  


MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – November 7, 2017 – Stylmark, Inc., a leading retail fixture manufacturer, is pleased to announce Abigail Craigen has joined the company as our newest senior account executive.  Abigail will be responsible for managing our key customer relationships throughout the Western United States.  

Abigail comes to Stylmark with over 20 years of strong retail and commercial fixture experience. Abigail began her career with Kroger as an apparel buyer where she was responsible for product category growth and the selection of new store fixtures to support Kroger’s growing apparel efforts.  While at
Grand + Benedicts, Abigail excelled at balancing project requirements against time-to-market efforts while limiting project risks for her customers. 

In 2013, Abigail joined Process Retail Group where she excelled at helping her customers with custom fixtures to achieve targeted goals.  Most recently Abigail was the account director for strategic partnerships at The Carlson Group where she developed and launched channel specific programs.

Stylmark Appoints Architectural Glazing Solutions as new Manufacturer’s Representative
 

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. –  July 11, 2017 – Stylmark, Inc. recently announced the addition of Architectural Glazing Solutions to their sales organization.  AGS will promote and market Stylmark products to the glass and glazing industry in the Southern California area.

In 1990, Dan Pompeo started in the glass and glazing industry working for TECH Glass.  In 1995 Tech Glass became Fabricated Glass Specialties where Dan remained until 2002 when he left to start his own company, Architectural Glazing Solutions.  In 2014, Dan was named Rep of the Year by Glass Magazine.

Mike Varney joined the team the AGS team as an independent rep in 2008 and is responsible for Orange and Los Angeles counties.  In 2012, Nico Pompeo joined the team in all aspects of the business.

Stylmark Introduces a Sleek LED Light Engine
 

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – March 14, 2017 – Stylmark, an industry leader in LED Lighting for retail and commercial environments, has elevated their LED showcase and shelf lighting with the introduction of the NIGEL, an LED light engine that is just 11/16” in diameter with the same light output as standard size light engines.  NIGEL is perfect for commercial showcase displays that require a slim profile.

The new NIGEL light engine, available in Stylmark’s linear showcase reflectors and shelf lighting products, will be available in 3500K, 4000K and 5000K color temperature and will offer many features including ANSI Standard chromaticity binning, higher efficiencies, dimming capabilities, and polarity insensitivity.

STYLMARK PROMOTES JIM GIFFT TO VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS


MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – August 9, 2016 – Stylmark, Inc. recently announced the promotion of Jim Gifft to its leadership team.  Jim will be serving in the role of Vice President of Operations overseeing manufacturing, production control, purchasing and engineering.

Jim has over 25 years of management experience leading engineering, product development and R&D project teams.  Prior to joining Stylmark five years ago, Jim held executive level management positions at Select Comfort and Despatch Industries.

Stylmark Appoints New President 

 

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – July 19, 2016 –  Stylmark, Inc. announces that Kevin Brown has been named President.

Kevin began his career with Stylmark as Manufacturing Manager in 1995.  In 2001, Kevin was promoted to Vice President of Manufacturing. Kevin was subsequently named Executive Vice President of Operations and joined Stylmark’s Board of Directors.
